Dear Wayne, I was so sad to hear of your mother's death. She was a very special lady and I will never forget how helpful she was to me when I was editor of the Bartow Neighbor and wanted to write stories about you and your career. She even loaned me her scrapbooks to take home and pour over and I can't tell you how much fun I had following your career. Your dear mother will certainly be missed.

Grace and Bill Knight were favorite friends of my parents, Tom and Fran Welsh. The entire Welsh clan owe an eternal debt to them for that. We all love you, Wayne, but that it is small consolation when you've lost your greatest fan. We extend our sincerest condolences to you and your family.
