

Helen was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, James Lloyd Greenway Sr.
She is survived by her children, Melinda Ruth Greenway, James Lloyd ‘Bo” Greenway Jr. (Melissa) and Kyle Jason Greenway (Gina); grandchildren, Nathan Whitmire (Kelly), Ethan Greenway (Erin), Tina Marie Greenway, Gina Collins (Daniel), Courtney Patterson, Madeline Greenway, and Amelia Greenway; 14 great-grandchildren; sisters, Evelyn Reece, Naomi Hamrick (Paul), Anita Evans (Jimmy), and Nikki Fowler (Larry); brothers, Glen Nichelson (Audrey), Wendell Nichelson (Janie), and Tommy Nichelson; as well as several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Helen was a devout Christian and member of The Church at Liberty Square. She enjoyed traveling with her sisters and singing at revivals as The Nichelson Sisters. Helen enjoyed gardening and her many flowers. She was a devoted wife, mother, and Maw Maw. She was very proud of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren (who could do nothing wrong). She was also a member of the Pink Ladies.
Helen truly had a servant’s heart. She felt her purpose in life was to care for others whether it was as a homemaker or being a caregiver to those in need.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 31, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at The Church at Liberty Square with a Celebration of Helen’s Life following at 2:00 p.m..
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Missions Department at The Church at Liberty Square.
