Mr. Herbert C. White

Mr. White was born September 15, 1926 in Canton, Georgia, a son of the late Asbury White and Sara Hunt White. He was a member of the Bethel Cross Roads Baptist Church, near Taylorsville and was retired.

Survivors include his wife Katherine White, his children, Lynn Bryan, of Taylorsville, Clay White, of Atlanta, Charlotte Smith, of Roopville, Neil White, of Cartersville, Mark White, of Cartersville, sisters, Bonnell Bunn and Erlene Gravley, seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, Harold White, Jene White, Bernice Jordon, William “Buck” White and Doll Mahafee.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Thursday, September 16, 2010 from the Bethel Cross Roads Baptist Church with Rev. Darrell Cornette, Rev. Hansel Ferguson and Rev. Charles Garrett officiating. Interment will follow in the Rolling Hills Cemetery, near Acworth.

Pallbearers will be Richie Adams, Chad Thomas, Chris McEntyre, Clay Scarborough, R.C. Scarborough and Donnie Smith.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 till 9:00 P.M. Wednesday and the body will lie in state at the church from 12:00 till 1:00 P.M. Thursday.
