Hilda Henley Shaw

Mrs. Shaw was born March 16, 1923, in Smyrna, Georgia, the daughter of the late, James Bates and Cora (Gregory) Henley and was a member of Sam Jones United Methodist Church. She enjoyed playing bridge and loved her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James Henry Shaw, Jr. and sisters and brothers.

Surviving are her children, Kathy and Michael Howren, Hank Shaw, Randy and Mary Anne Shaw, Carter and Gale Shaw and Susan Linsey, all of Cartersville, twelve grandchildren, Paige Lochridge (Daniel), Ansley Choate (Jay), Mike Howren (Jacey), Jim Shaw (Lauren), Josh Shaw, Johnathan Shaw (Jessica), Cortni Cooney (Kevin), Bart Shaw (Jodi), Levi Shaw (Jessica), Henley Shaw, Laura Grinnell (David), Julie Linsey, thirteen great-grandchildren, sister-in-law, Tomalene Henley of Buford, brother-in-law, Charles Shaw (Marion) of Rome, special friend and faithful caregiver, Lillie McGill and a number of nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held Monday, October 29, 2012, at 4:00 p.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery with Dr. Bill Burch officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday afternoon from 1:30-3:30 p.m.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, Mike Howren, Daniel Lochridge, Jay Choate, Jim Shaw, Josh Shaw, Johnathan Shaw, Bart Shaw, Kevin Cooney, Levi Shaw and David Grinnell.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Sam Jones United Methodist Church.
