Mr. Young was born March 5, 1931 in Bartow County, the son of the late, Grace (Teal) and James Frank Young, was a U.S. Army Veteran having served in Korea and was of the Baptist Faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Margie (Williams) Young and several brothers and sisters.
Surviving is his brother, Howard Young of Marietta and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday, October 16, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home with Rev. David Young officiating.
Burial will follow in Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Owen Funeral Home Thursday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m.
