Ian was known for his sense of humor, he loved to laugh and make jokes with his family. Ian absolutely loved to dance and listen to music, no song was to fast or slow for him to find the rhythm. He was so proud of his relationship with his mom, grandparents, and especially his “walita”. His relationship he formed with God is what brought him most peace. He prayed multiple times daily, listened to the bible through audiobook, received daily scripture and quotes. His hope was to one day be able to see again and he said “If not in this lifetime, then maybe the next.” Ian is home, Ian can see again, Ian is happy, Ian is surrounded in his glory, Ian is in no more pain, Ian is not alone, he went to be with his savior.
Ian graduated Georgia Academy for the Blind in May of 2023. He played goalball and wrestled. He loved wrestling, he wrestled before and after he was blind. He loved getting in the floor with his little brother and going over moves. God and family were always his number one focus. His goal was to do online college and get a degree in business/technology and help create something to make a change in the blind world. He always wanted to make a difference.
