

Mrs. Bell was born November 14, 1913 in Bartow County, a daughter of the late Columbus P. Westbrook and Minnie Lee Bozeman Westbrook.
She loved to spend her spare time making crafts and she was an especially talented quilter who crafted each of her children and grandchildren with their own individual blanket. Mrs. Bell was an avid Atlanta Braves fan with Chipper Jones being her favorite player.
Mrs. Bell was an active and also the oldest member of Atco Baptist Church. Some of her favorite church organizations include Keen-Agers, Homebound Ministry and The Golden Rule Sunday school class.
She was preceded in death by her husband Adolphus R. Bell, survivors include a daughter, Betty Dean of Cartersville, GA; son and daughter-in-law Jerry and Adele Bell of Troy, MI; daughters-in-law, Charlene Bell of Covington, GA and Patricia Bell of Cartersville, GA; sisters, Juanita Wilbanks and Cleo Bryson both of Cartersville, GA; nine grandchildren; nineteen great grand-children and two great great grand-children.
Mrs. Bell was preceded in death by her sons, Richard and Donald Bell; son-in-law, E.J. Dean; sisters, Marie Abernathy, Idalene Mullinax, Joann Westbrook and Elease Grizzle; brothers, Gaston, Eudean, Autrell ”Hoss” and Hugh Westbrook.
Funeral Services will be held 4:00 P.M. Sunday, September 23, 2012 from the Chapel of Owen Funeral Home, Cartersville, GA with Rev. Carl Billue and Rev. Charles Ivey officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens.
Serving as Pallbearers will be Phil Westbrook, Stanley Warren, Gene Bennett, Brent Westbrook, Jimmy Hobgood, Jared Cornwell and Todd Dean.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Saturday, September 22, 2012. During other hours, the family may be reached at the home of Todd Dean, 24 Crestwood Dr., Cartersville, GA 30121.
