Irene W Satterfield

Irene Waters Satterfield, 96, of Highway 411, White, Georgia, passed away Sunday, February 20, 2022 at her residence. Mrs. Satterfield was born March 16, 1925 in Canton, Georgia daughter of the late John Cleveland Waters and Maybelle Pace Waters. She was a member and attended as long as she could at Stamp Creek Baptist Church. Prior to retirement, she was employed in manufacturing at Lacy Mills. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rufus Satterfield; sisters, Edith Bearden, Geraldine Bell and Vera Purcell. She is survived by her daughters, Janice (Dana) Scott and Gail Crane; her son, Jerry (Linda) Satterfield; 4 grandchildren, Jennifer (Neal) Rozelle, Brande Poulnot, Kelly (Tommy) Elrod, Kristy Scott; 6 great grandchildren; her sister, Pearl (Woodie) Noles; her brothers, J.C. (Carolyn) Waters, L.D. (Ruth) Waters, Delano Waters; sister-in-law, Faye Satterfield; a number of nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, February 24th at 1:00 p.m. in the Owen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kenny Jacobs and David Stewart officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening, February 23nd from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Owen Funeral Home.
