James "Big Eddie" Edward Hicks Jr.

Mr. James Edward "Eddie" Hicks Jr., 65, passed away Monday, June 18, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. Eddie was born January 8, 1953 in Lake Charles, LA to the late Mr.James Edward Hicks Sr. and Mrs. Ruby Nell Harrell.

Big Eddie was a generous, fun loving guy who never met a stranger. He enjoyed games like pool, chess and Texas Hold 'Em but most of all, he loved sharing his love of Jesus. Eddie loved his family and grandchildren. His sense of humor and love for everyone will be missed.

Eddie is preceded in death by his parents.

Eddie is survived by his wife Bobbie Hicks, son, Mike "Tiny" Hicks and daughter - -in - law, Melissa Hicks, granddaughters; Emorie Robinson and Makenna Hicks, sister, Susan (Steve) Bradshaw, brothers; Cliff (Tammy) Hicks and Bill (Lori). Many nieces and nephews also survive to cherish Big Eddies memory.

Funeral services for Eddie will be conducted Thursday, June 21, 2018 at Open Bible Wesleyan Church, Cartersville, at eleven in morning. Officiating will be Rev. Mike Huskins. Interment will follow the service at Oak Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from one o'clock in the afternoon until eight at Open Bible Wesleyan Church, Cartersville, Wednesday, June 20, 2018.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Hicks Family at P.O. Box 942, Kennesaw , GA 30156, for final expenses.
