James Thomas Kimsey

Mr. Kimsey was born January 25, 1935 in Rome, Georgia son of the late James Fletcher Kimsey and Martha Tarrer Kimsey. He was a retired Supervisor with Mohawk Carpets and was a member of Cassville Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by a son, Mathew Kimsey, parents,, James & Martha Kimsey and by a step-mother, Lida Kimsey.

Survivors include his wife Carol Bowman Kimsey; his children, Jennifer Kimsey, Amy & Rick Mathis, Kevin & Belinda Kimsey; grandchildren, Ryan and Alecia Mathis, Tara Mathis, Kaitlin Kimsey and Wyatt Kimsey; 2 great-grandchildren and a sister Janis Thompson also survive.

A Celebration of Life service will be conducted Friday morning, January 12th at 11:00 a.m. in the Owen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mark Somers and Rev. Ron Cansler officiating. Interment will follow in the Cassville Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Owen Funeral Home.

Pallbearers include Walt Pittman, Mike Bryson, Randy Phillips, Dewey Hardin, Rick Mathis, Jim Shinall. Honorary pallbearers include Gary Langford, Danny Langford, Ricky Goss.

In lieu of flowers donation can be made to Cassville Baptist Church.
