James Shaw McLeod

Mr. McLeod was born on May 31, 1928 in Rome, GA, son of the late Frank McLeod, Sr. and Ruth Kimsey McLeod.

Mr. McLeod proudly served his country in the United States Marines during the Korean Conflict. He retired from the City of Cartersville after eleven years of dedicated employment. He served as choir director at Cassville Baptist Church for a number of years.

He is preceded in death by his brother, Frank McLeod, Jr.

He is survived by his loving wife of sixty-four years, Sarah Franklin McLeod; sons, James Brian (Susan) McLeod, Barry Paul (Susan) McLeod and Bruce (Madalyn) McLeod; beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be conducted at Sam Jones United Methodist Church in Cartersville, GA Monday, November 20, 2017 at two o'clock in the afternoon.

The family will receive friends Monday, November 20, 2017, at Sam Jones United Methodist Church Family Life Center from one o'clock in the afternoon until the service hour.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to The American Cancer Society, Susan G. Komen Foundation or Good Neighbor Homeless Shelter.
