Jerrel was a man who enjoyed keeping busy. He loved arts and crafts, building things, and being outdoors working on something. He had a generous heart and loved giving to others. Anyone who came to visit him at home could almost always count on leaving with something he had made or something he had bought in bulk.
Jerrel had a wonderful sense of humor, and those who knew him will surely remember his favorite saying: “I’m going to let the air out of your tires!” It was just one of the many ways he kept his family and friends smiling.
Jerrel will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will live on through the many things he built, created, shared, and, most importantly, through the love he gave to his family.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2026, beginning at 1:00 p.m., with a Celebration of Jerrel’s Life at 3:00 p.m. at the chapel of Owen Funeral Home.
