Jerry Hames

Mrs. Hames was born January 14, 1942 in DeKalb County, a daughter of the late Thomas Lee Wagner and Thera Mae Underwood Wagner.

She was a member of the Faith United Methodist Church in Cartersville and a retired teacher. She loved all children and especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Jerry H. Hames, her children and their spouses, Wanda and Randy Olson, of Cartersville, Thomas H. and Rena Hames, of Rockmart and Keith and Melissa Hames, of Cartersville, and her grandchildren, Stephanie, Jadon, and Aaralyn Olson, Stephanie, Brandon and Jessica Holliday and Collin Ellison, Chase Hames and Mackenzie Hames.

Funeral services will be held 12:00 Noon Tuesday, August 10, 2010, from the Chapel of the Owen Funeral Home with Rev. Rick Meyers officiating. Interment services will follow at 1:30 P.M. at the Ga. National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 922 E. Morris Street, Dalton, Ga. 30721.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 till 7:00 P.M. Monday.
