

Mrs. Temples was born on June 9, 1929 in Cartersville, GA, daughter of the late George W. Taylor and Effie C. Taylor. She was a retired machine operator in the carpet/textile industry. Mrs. Temples was a devoted mother and grandmother and loved spending time cooking for her family. In her spare time, she greatly enjoyed reading. She was a true and faithful servant of the Lord and a proud and active member of Oak Hill Baptist Church in Rydal, GA. Mrs. Temples could always be found with a loving smile. She is already missed and will never be forgotten.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Lee Temples and her brother, J.C. Taylor.
Survivors include her daughters, Rhonda Mealer and Freida Garland (Larry); son, Reggie Temples (Diane) and Ricky Temples (Jenny) all of Fairmount, GA; grandchildren, Tyron Blackstock, Eric Blackstock (Mandy), Angelena Jarrett (Wayne), David Temples (Cortney). Kim Pierce (Mitchell); eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; brother-in-law, WC Crider of Rydal, GA; sisters-in-laws, Frances Martin of Calhoun, GA and Shirley Griffin of Ellijay; a number of nieces and nephews; her special dog, Ginger.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at two o’clock in the afternoon on Saturday, November 7, 2015 at Oak Hill Baptist Church with Rev. David Temples and Rev. Wesley Moss officiating. Interment will immediately follow in the church cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers are Tyron Blackstock, Eric Blackstock, Wayne Jarrett, Mitchell Pierce, Lance Blackstock and Blake Temples.
Visitation will be held from five o’clock in the evening until eight on Friday, November 6, 2015 at Owen Funeral Home.
