We were saddened to hear of Jim's death but know he endured so much in his sickness. Jim was such a wonderful friend to my brother, Jerry Hackney, and it was such a comfort to us in his being there for Jerry. Our prayers and thoughts are with the family and all who loved Jim.

Mary,My heart is grieved regarding Jim's death. I did not know until much too late. He was a true friend, and was always faithful in love and responsibility. Because of Jim's heart, character and example, your children can walk anywhere with their heads high. And you, Mary, are being lifted-up by so many, with sincere, heartfelt support in this hour. Jim, your walk here touched so many. Semper Fidelis, dear friend.

Mary & Family - so sorry for your loss of Jim. Although I have not seen him in years, he was one of the first friends I had when we moved to Cartersville in the early 1980s. I still have a picture of the two of us together running the 1981 Peachtree Road Race. Those were good times. May God's grace get you, Gabe, Abbey and Mandy though these difficult times. Jim will always be remembered as a friend.

Mary & family: I am deeply saddened by Jim's passing but relieved that he suffers no more. Trish informed me today and I have reflected about Jim and thought about the wonderful early times all day. I showed my family our senior football photos and your family slideshow. Jim was a friend and always kind and considerate. He was my protector not only in football but off the field, too. Mary, I attached my family pajama party at Christmas for you to show to your family and friends. That's my youngest, Miles, who is 27, in the Scooby Do costume in front. The 3 children are all from Kit II, who is in back next to the tree. Love, Prayers and Blessings to the Agans from the Bradshaws. Kit
