Jimmy and I were friends as children growing up in Atco. We graduated from High School together as well. I'll always remember him as easy going and a nice guy. I am sorry for his passing so young, yes, I think 60's are young!

So many of my childhood memories involve Jimmy. We had so many fun adventures and so many laughs. He loved his kids more than life. My heart is broken for the family but I am also at peace knowing that he is with Jesus and whole again. I cry happy tears thinking about him being in heaven and we will all see him again one day! I pray for peace and comfort during this hard days. He will be missed here on earth.

I met J D 6 years ago. I was at a point in my life that I needed to know I had a purpose for my life going on. He was a one of a kind person who pushed me out of my comfort zone and showed me things I had never had the chance to do . From the first date riding a four wheeler, to my first kayak ride, to climbing some of the tallest lighthouses in America, there was renewed purpose for me. I am heartbroken at his loss. I will never forget the good times. He dearly loved his baby girl Jennifer who stood by his side so faithfully. I will always remember your love for him. This world is a sadder place without him.

To the dear family of Jimmy Perkins...
Your father and grandfather, as you surely already know, was one of the kindest people ive ever met. I worked with Jimmy for three years and in that time found a friend for life who shared many of the same passions. Hard working and always wanting only to do things the right way, Jimmy gave me so much encouragement at work. Jimmy always expressed his passion for truth and studying the word of God. We shared many studies together, and I owe my close walk with the Lord to Jimmy. He was an amazing friend, and a very dear brother of faith. With love, I send my deepest condolences to the precious family of one of the greatest men ive ever known. Jimmy Perkins... you will be dearly missed, but never forgotten.
