John Raymond Wolfe

John Raymond Wolfe (Pumpkin, Big Guy, Big Daddy, Gramps),79, of Canton, GA, passed away at home on November 21, 2014, surrounded by his loving family after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was born on September 27, 1935, in New Jersey, the son of John Joseph and Helene (Leduq) Wolfe. He graduated from Malvern (NY), High School in 1953 and from RPI in 1957 with a degree in Chemical Engineering.

After graduation from college, he worked at General Electric in South Portland, ME, and Lynn, MA, as well as Digital Corporation in Marietta, GA, before retiring in 2000. He was a dedicated and loving husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed being at home with his family and watching football, particularly his beloved New York Giants.

He is survived and will be deeply missed by his beloved wife of 35 years, Patricia A. Wolfe of Canton, GA; and 9 children; Jack and wife June of Windham, ME, Sharon Morrill and husband Jeff of Cartersville, GA, Bobby Swartz and wife Mary of Waterboro, ME, Gene Willard and wife Carolyn of South Portland, ME, Margaret Willard of Douglasville, GA, Enoch Willard and wife Diane of Goffstown, NH, Mary Lucca and husband Mark of South Windsor, CT, Elizabeth Forster and husband Vance of Dallas, GA, John Willard and wife Heather of Kennesaw, GA, as well as 25grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at Owen Funeral Home, 12 Collins Drive, Cartersville, GA, on Saturday, December 13th, 2014, at 1:00PM for family and friends.
