

Born on July 29, 1957, in Orlando, Florida, Johnnie was the son of the late Johnnie Ray Horney, Sr. and Frances T. Horney.
Johnnie is survived by his beloved wife of 34 years, Corinne Horney; his four children, Jessica, Jillian, Jacob, and Billy; his two sisters, Jodie and Julie; four cherished grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Johnnie grew up in Orlando, Florida, and graduated from Colonial High School with the Class of 1977. During his school years, he played bass clarinet in the band and participated in several sports. After graduation, he proudly served his country in the United States Navy. Following his military service, he returned to Orlando, where he raised his family and built a career in the electrical trade.
Johnnie was a talented craftsman who enjoyed working with his hands. He had a passion for building model ships and was always working on projects around the house. He found joy in creating, fixing, and improving things, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, dedication, and love for his family. He also enjoyed spending time with his dogs.
Family and friends are invited to gather in celebration of Johnnie's life on Thursday, July 16, at 2:00 p.m. at Georgia National Cemetery with Naval Honors. There will be a memorial service scheduled at a later date.
Johnnie's memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends, who will forever cherish the time they shared with him.
