John-John was born on November 1st, 1978 in Rome, GA, son of Johnny Glenn Moore, Sr. and Theresa D. Moore.
There was a hunter named Big Johnny Moore who found his hunting partner, Theresa Jenkins, in 1976. They enjoyed going to cabins in the mountains and motorcycle rides. They grew a love for fishing and became the first fishers in the Moore family. Knowing that they needed to fill their boat, Johnny Glenn Moore Jr. was born in 1978. John-John was an amazing son, who grew into an outstanding young man who loved to hunt and fish. He started the fishing adventure of a lifetime when he was in 6th grade, and continued on until 12th grade when he finally reeled in his first fishing buddy, his wife, Dana. He caught her by sharing his love of God with her, and envisioned a unique relationship between the three of them. On May 22, 1999 he made Dana his official fishing partner. Johnny and Dana spent hours talking and texting in code. They enjoyed taking trips together and being a couple. They loved building and creating together, and taking old things and making them new. After a while, Johnny and Dana gained another fishing buddy when their son, Connor, was born in April of 2003. Johnny shared a love of knowing God with Connor, as well as a passion for music; Star Wars and Sci-Fi; Transformers and movies; hunting and fishing; building; and numerous unfathomable ideas formed from creativity. Johnny would spend hours talking with Connor, passing on knowledge that will last him a lifetime. Most importantly, Johnny taught Connor how to be a loving son, brother, friend, and a future husband to someone special. After some time, Johnny and Dana realized they needed more fish in their boat, and they welcomed a new guppy, their daughter Lana, in September of 2009. Johnny passed on his sarcasm and humor to Lana. He took Lana on her first turkey hunt. He also shared his passion for cooking and his knowledge of drawing, painting, and molding clay with her, as well as many other artistic abilities. On Saturdays they would be found at Waffle House with Papaw "Big Johnny", and at the Cartersville Market...and most importantly Dollar Tree! Johnny was extremely proud of his children and rejoiced with them in their successes. Johnny relished family time, and could be found grilling his famous ribeye steaks in the backyard for birthday parties and cookouts for upwards of 40 friends and family members, with a cold shot of Evan Williams in his hand. Johnny always used his own two hands to create unique masterpieces. Multiple times a year, Johnny and his family would spend time at their favorite vacation spot in St. George Island, Florida. They also loved breathing in God's fresh mountain air on their trips to Tennessee. Johnny gave the best bear hugs to his loving family. Johnny will always be remembered for that mischievous glint in his beautiful eyes, with a sly grin on his face, hidden by the most beautiful beard which he would spend hours keeping well groomed. We know God called Johnny home early for a greater purpose. He is truly loved and will be greatly missed but NEVER forgotten!
