Rest in Peace my Queen Grandmother, Matriarch of this great family. 

Generations of progeny will inherit those wonderful traits and attributes of yours - including your strength, determination, compassion, resolve, and commitment to prosperity, not only for the family, but also for those who constitute a minority anywhere.

It’s with a very heavy heart that I write this thinking about all of the times we’ve had together, I could never put into words what you actually mean to me, but I want you to know that your lessons have played an integral part in making me the man I am today. You raised us all well with strong values and we will always honor you. Your legacy is immensely ingrained in all those who have come forth from you and those who knew you, so your contribution to this plain of existence will resonate for generations to come.

Although we never had the pleasure of meeting, it was not necessary for we know your legacy thru your family, and that speaks volumes of the person you were. I would know you as a noble, strong woman of wisdom and love.  Travel quick and safely into the fold of our Lord, Mrs Toussaint, your heavenly Father awaits.

I remember your smiles and love of living .Your sense of purpose is personified in your children and my father was created through your guidance.We are forever grateful, for you my grandmother who i fondly remember with splendid purple hair and a ready smile.my matriarch we all have mummies but you are forever our MAMMY, love appreciation and joy........we your future and modern scripts will keep on writing stories to amaze the world.My only regret is that as a source of history I did not spend enough time at your feet.

Mami i will miss u more than words can say ..u were my rock , when i felt weak...I loved ur wisdom..my heart hurts to know that i will never hear ur voice again..I will be strong n remember ur words I love you . eternally.i know u are watching over all of us xoxoxo

Mami...u always had words of wisdom for me u always said God will only give u what u can handle..u never turned your back on me.u always listened..i feel blessed to have been loved by you...I love you and will miss you eternally. xoxo

In all your grandchilden hearts, your name was and will ever be love and wisdom, you gave all of us full individual attention and never once you said no too any of us with anything we asked of you even if it was to get away for any given time or period away from home, you held us close under your precious arms, and your eyes and smile would always say, it's ok, you're safe. You are in the celestial heavens now, as I write this I feel your heavenly presence still saying "You're ok".....Love always.

From those in Trinidad who cannot attend.

Mammy Josephine, you were always smiling, loving and a joy to be with. Every year I went to New York, I always took that long train ride out to Far Rockaway. I still have the bathrobe she bought me, red checks and all.
it's hard to accept she is gone. I remember how she used to stroke your hand when she talked to you, looked you in the eye, gave you her full attention....unless those "wicked women" on the soaps were on.
I will miss you, Mammy.

She loved us all with an eternal everlasting love.  She blessed us with her wisdom and care.  May God continue to comfort and keep us as we celebrate her life. Love Always,
