Mrs. Heath was born in Bartow County on April 7, 1945, a daughter of the late Harley and Kathleen Johnsey Findley.
She was a graduate of Cass High and Floyd Junior College, member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church and retired from the City of Cartersville, where she served as administrative assistant to the city manager. Judy was a gentle, kind and compassionate person, always considering others before herself. She touched many people’s lives during her time here and will be missed by all. She loved her savior, Jesus Christ, family and many friends.
Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Joe Heath, one son, Bryan Heath, of Cartersville, a granddaughter, Tracey Dee Heath, a grandson, Mickey McGuire, two sisters, Peggy Prather, of Dallas and Patsy Bennett and husband Lucius (Booty) Bennett, of Cartersville, and brother in law, John Layton, of Cartersville. Nieces and nephews also survive.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Tracey Carol Heath and two sisters, Martha F. Taylor and Jane Layton.
Graveside services will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday, June 13, 2014 from the Sunset Memory Gardens with Rev. Gary Eastridge officiating.
In lieu of flowers, for those desiring, contributions may be made to the Bread of Life Ministry at the Tabernacle Baptist Church.
