Kathy Ida Ponder

Kathy is preceded in death by her parents, William and Ida Sutton; sister's, Mary Jane (Jim) Wiley, Bessie (Cliff) Kelley; brother, Jack Sutton, GW Sutton; brother-in-law, Floyd Ponder. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Ronnie Ponder; daughters, Beverly (Harry) Pradon, Stephanie (Darin) Luttrell, Leslie Ponder, Natalie Ponder; son, George Stephens, seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; sister, Betty Griffin; brothers, Bill (Olene) Sutton, Wayne Sutton; sisters-in-law, Liz Ponder, Mary Sutton; many nieces and nephews.

Kathy was a faithful member of Friendship Baptist Church. She was retired from the USDA as a poultry Inspector. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She will be missed by all who knew her.

A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at 11:00 am in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home with Rev. Kenny Jacobs officiating. The interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery with Levi Southern, Luke Southern, Heath Massey, Bailey Arrington, Darin Luttrell and Jeremy Roberson serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 15, 2024 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
