Mr. Haines was born December 21, 1944 in Macomb, Illinois, son of the late William Voyd Haines and Dora Elizabeth Goradge Haines.
Mr. Haines was a 20 year Army/Air ForceVeteran during which time he served in the Vietnam War. After his military service, Mr. Haines was employed at several local hospitals as a Registered Nurse and Anesthesiologist.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Betty L Haines, his son, Jerry and Susan Haines of IL; one brother and sister in-law, Wendell and Pat Haines, of IL, one sister and brother in-law, Sharon and Martin Feith of IL, four step-daughters and step son-in-laws, Theresa and Mick Butorac, of Georgia, Tina and Doug Lawson, of Florida, Cindee and Reginald Barnes, of Georgia, and Roxann and Henry White, of Georgia, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the caretakers of Mr. Haines, Taleesha Pemberton, Corbin Peeks, and James Buzzard.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 Saturday, July 7, 2012 from the Chapel of the Owen Funeral Home with Rev. Kenny Jacobs Officiating. Internment will follow in Floyd Memory Gardens Cemetery, with full Military rights Observed.
Serving as Pall Bearers will be Corbin Peeks, James Buzzard, Antonio Woods, Roshawn Stothart, Reginald Barner and Jerry Haines.
The family will receive friends at Owen Funeral Home Saturday, July 7, 2012 from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
