uncle L as I called him was a second father to me. I grew up around him and Aunt Pat and when my parents died, he made sure to check on me periodically. I will never forget our late night conversations and despite our age difference, he always treated me as a friend.

Larry was my late husband's Big Brother in Delta Sigma Phi, so we had good memories of Stetson University & DeLand. Later Larry & I shared five wonderful years together & remained good friends.  When we chatted recently, he was happy to have had a great visit with Chrissy & her family & looking forward to a Fun Fourth of July with Gay & friends.  I am grateful that he died happy having fun rather than lingering & suffering, but know that is hard for the family & friends he loved so much & for Sparky.  ssj

Larry and I were pals from the 6th grade on through the decades and across the timezones.
Our football (friendly) fan rivalry (Auburn/Florida) notwithstanding, we stayed connected by visits, phone, and email. I'll forever cherish our friendship, the good times, and fond memories.
