

Mr. Worley was born in Pine Log, Georgia, on March 4, 1929, to the late Mr. Grady and Mrs. Alma Worley.
After finishing school, Mr. Worley went on to enlist in the United States Air Force, where he faithfully served his country for thirty nine years, during which he fought in the Korean War and worked as an aircraft and hydraulics mechanic. In his years after retiring from the Air Force, Mr. Worley enjoyed staying active and involved, as well as keeping up a steady routine of doing things with his wife, as he had for so many years in the military. He loved frequenting various restaurants and retailers with his wife, Mrs. Kitty Ann Worley, including the Mount Berry Mall, Publix, Target, Belk, and his favorite restaurant Cody J's, where he and Mrs. Kitty Ann had a standing lunch date every Friday. Mr. Worley was well known throughout town and was admired by all who knew him. Likewise, he will be missed deeply by all those who knew him as well.
Mr. Worley is preceded in death by his parents, as well as his four brothers and one sister.
He is survived by his loving and dedicated wife of over sixty four years, Mrs. Kitty Ann Worley. He is also survived by his son, Mr. Jeff (Sharon) Worley; his brother, Mr. Jack Worley; cxhis grandchildren, Victoria McEver and Robert (Keary) Gaiser; and one great-grandchild, Raylen Gaiser.
A Celebration of Life Service to honor Mr. Worley will be conducted on Friday, June 28, 2019, at two o'clock in the afternoon in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home with the Rev. Charlie Gilliland officiating. Mr. Worley will be laid to rest following the service at Sunset Memory Gardens with full rendering of military honors by the United States Air Force. Serving as pallbearers will be Mr. Larry Bone, Mr. Daniel Worley, Mr. Gary James, Mr. Jason James, Mr. Skip Causey, and Mr. Chuck Causey. Mr. Robert Gaiser will serve as an honorary pallbearer for the service as well.
Visitation will be on Friday, June 28, 2019 from eleven o'clock in the morning until the service hour.
