

Liliane was born and raised in France to the late Georges and Therese Groliere Lemoine. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lamar Eugene Weldon; her son, Richard Eugene Weldon; great-granddaughter, Brilee J. Weldon; and great-great-grandson, Bowen Weldon-Pritchett.
Liliane met her future husband, Lamar, in the mid-1950s while he was stationed in France serving in the United States Air Force. They married in France and began a life together that would span many years. Liliane was a devoted military wife and a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
A woman of Catholic faith, Liliane had a generous heart and spent her life selflessly caring for and serving her family and friends. She had a genuine and gentle soul, and those who knew her remember her for her kindness and loving spirit. She loved animals, and they seemed to love her in return. A homemaker for much of her adult life, Liliane later retired from Shaw Industries.
She especially enjoyed tending her birdfeeders and watching the hummingbirds that visited her home. Above all, her greatest joy was her family. She was lovingly known as Mom, Mommy, Mama, Mawmaw, Grandmama, and Gigi.
Liliane is survived by her daughter, Mary Therese Hildebrand (John); sons, Johnny Lee Weldon and David Georges Weldon (Wendy); daughter-in-law, Lisa Hightower Weldon; grandchildren, Brandon Dollar, Michael Karafiat, Daniel Karafiat (Rachel), Casey Westbrooks (Brent), Lamar Weldon, Jesse Weldon (Kimberly), Amber Tyler (Harry), and Ashley Henson (Derek); and numerous great-grandchildren, including Peter Karafiat , Mac Karafiat, Vivienne Karafiat, Adrian Karafiat, Liliane Karafiat, Kylee Karafiat, Triston Berryhill , Kaylee Westbrooks, Aubrey Weldon, Abby Weldon, Baylee Weldon, Avery Weldon, Matthew Weldon, Lydia Weldon, Silas Weldon, Lillie Weldon, Baylor Jacobs, Addisyn Tyler, Caleb Tyler, Alexis Henson, Brantley Henson, Kayleigh Henson, and Emery Henson.
Liliane's love, kindness, and devotion to her family will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Her legacy will live on through the generations of family she cherished so deeply.
Visitation with the family will be held on Friday, September 11, 2026, beginning at 11:00 a.m., with the funeral service following at 1:00 p.m. at Owen Funeral Home. Father Kevin Hargaden of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Daniel Karafiat, Harry Tyler, Jesse Weldon, Lamar Weldon, Derek Henson, and Triston Berryhill; Adrian Karafiat, Brantley Henson, and Caleb Tyler will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens, where Liliane will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, Lamar.
