

Linda Hardin Grabensteder, 70 of Cartersville went home to be with the Lord on July 22, 2014. She slipped quietly away at home after a courageous battle with dementia. She was born in Clarksdale Mississippi on January 24, 1944 to William Frank Hardin and Barbara Smith Hardin. Both of her parents have predeceased her. She was raised on the family farm in Duncan MS and graduated from Shelby High School, Shelby MS and from Mississippi State College for Women. She attended Southern Baptist Seminary in Louisville, KY for two years. She taught school in New Albany, IN and Gwinnett County, GA and moved to Cartersville in 1970. She was an active member of Mount Paran Church of God.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years David Grabensteder, son Dan Grabensteder and wife Leslie and granddaughter Brooklyn, daughter Beth Cain and husband Jeremy and grandchildren Madelin, Sophie and Samuel Cain and brother Billy Hardin and wife Toni and nephew William Hardin of Duncan, MS.
Funeral services will be conducted by the Owen Funeral Home with Pastor Kent Hawkins, Associate Pastor of Mount Paran Church of God officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on July 24 at Owen Funeral Home with services at 11:00 am on July 25 in the Owens Chapel. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetary. The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to The Mount Paran Church of God World Missions Program at 2055 Mount Paran Road NW, Atlanta, GA 30327.
