

Linda Causey Maloney of Jasper, Georgia, died early in the morning on July 1, 2012 at age 59. She is preceded in death by her father, Dr. Robert S. Causey, Jr. of Marietta, and her sister, Janet Causey, of Cartersville. She is survived by husband Bryan Maloney, mother Anita Causey of Cartersville, sister Robin Causey of Lawrenceville, brother Phillip Causey of Euharlee, three daughters, Merri Lisa Johnson of Spartanburg, SC, Jessica Johnson DiPietro of Easthampton, MA, and Melissa Johnson Cohen of Acworth, GA, sons-in-law Austin Johnson and Russ Cohen, daughter-in-law Alicia DiPietro, two grandsons Seth and Mark, nephew Ryan, and beloved poodle Sharlee. As Vice President of Award Mobile Homes in Jasper, Linda Maloney served her community with creativity and enthusiasm. This was her second career, after working in interior design in Asheville, NC for a number of years. She graduated from Marietta High School in 1971 and held a bachelor’s degree in retail and marketing from the University of Georgia. She was a loving wife and mother with a tart sense of humor, and she never met a book she did not want to read. She will be greatly missed. Visitation will be held at Owen Funeral Home in Cartersville, GA on Friday, July 6 from 5-9pm, and the funeral will take place in the Owen Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, July 7 at 3pm.
