

Mr. Cathcart was born September 4, 1924 in LaGrange, Georgia son of the late Berman Thompson Cathcart and Mary Belle Pendigrass Cathcart. He was retired from Lockheed, was retired from the U.S. Navy having served in World War II and was a big Nascar Fan. He was precede in death by his wife; Martha Mary Cofield Cathcart and by a granddaughter; Elona Parker.
Survivors include a son, Eddie Berman Cathcart and wife Catherine; a daughter, Nita Shuler and husband Tim; grandchildren, Colt Parker and wife Tammy, Casey Cathcart; great-grandchildren, Ezra Parker, Xavier Parker, Elona Parker; brothers, William (Bud) Cathcart and Johnny Cathcart; a sister, Shirley Cathcart; a special friend, Carey Thrift; nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday afternoon march 30th at 3:30 P.M. at the Owen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kenny Jacobs officiating. Interment will follow in Providence Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1:00 P.M. until 3:30 P.M. at Owen Funeral Home.
