Lon Bearden Jr.

Mr. Lon Bearden and Mrs. Nora Brown Bearden in Cartersville, GA.

Mr. Bearden served in the United States Navy during World War II in the South Pacific.

He returned home to marry Bernice Taylor. He was a Baptist preacher and lifelong member of Center Baptist Church.

Mr. Bearden retired from Lockhead after over 30 years of service. Mr. Bearden was an avid outdoorsman, loving to hunt, fish and camp.

He was a loving man that was devoted to the Lord, his family and country.

Mr.. Bearden is preceded in death by his loving wife, Bernice Taylor Bearden, parents, sons; Danny Vonzell Bearden and Rickey Lavon Bearden,

brother, Woodrow William Bearden and great grandson, Austin Williams.

He is survived by grandchildren; Tammy Bradfield, Penny Miller, Daniel Lon Bearden, BJ Bearden, Shannon Vonzell Bearden,

Wendy Lee Bearden, siblings; Elsa Bearden Knight, Ruby Bearden Whitt and Robert Lee Bearden. Many great and great great grandchildren,

nieces and nephews also survive to cherish his memory.

Funeral Services will be conducted at Owen Funeral Chapel Tuesday October 3, 2017 at eleven thirty in the morning.

Services will be officiated by the Rev. Dewey Atchley. Serving as pallbearers will be the

Deacons of Center Baptist Church. Burial Will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends at Owen Funeral Home Monday October 2, 2017 from six o'clock in the evening until eight.
