Dene grew up in the Acworth area and was in the last graduating class from Acworth High School. A devoted wife to Emmett for over 69 years. She loved to trout fish and some of our best memories together were days spent by Coopers and Rock Creek then sitting around the campfire at night. Dene was an avid reader. She had a green thumb and loved to garden. Her love for olde time gospel music was strong, and a good bluegrass hymn was her favorite. She loved flowers of all kinds and was partial to all that were pink and purple. For years she kept the hummingbird population thriving in her area with her special nectar. Dene was an amazing cook. Her Thanksgiving chicken ‘n dressing, potato salad and coconut cake were loved by all who were lucky enough to get a taste. Classic Western movies were a favorite and were almost always on TV during a visit. Dene loved spending time with her family sharing laughs, always quick with a smile and had a dry wit that we all loved dearly. Rest easy precious soul...
