Mark Shannon Taylor

Mark Shannon Taylor, age 53 of Cartersville, GA passed away on Thursday, February 27, 2025 at Floyd Medical Center, surrounded by his family. He was born in Rome, GA on January 9, 1972, to Larry Taylor and Patsy Taylor.

Shannon was known for his heart of gold and love for everyone he met. His personality, contagious laughter, and bright smile would light up any room he was in. No matter who you were he would always make sure everyone was taken care of.

Shannon worked in the pet food industry for most of his life. Working at Taylor Farm Supply, in his younger days. Then working for Phillips Pet Food & Supplies for many years, and most recently Diamond Pet food. Working in sales he made many lifelong friends and relationships over the years.

He is survived by his daughter, Nikki (Bradlee) Huskins; Parents, Larry and Patsy Taylor; Brothers: Scott (Melissa) Taylor, Stewart (Connie) Taylor; Sisters: Dawn (Andy) Tummins, Mitzi Taylor; and a crew of nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, March 4, 2025 in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home with Rev. Erick Elrod officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm at the funeral home.
