Martha Jean Howard

Born on November 8, 1961, Martha was known for her incredible work ethic, generous heart, and deep love for her family. She dedicated her life to caring for others, always putting those she loved before herself. Her kindness and warmth touched all who knew her.

Martha had a special fondness for the Smoky Mountains, finding peace and joy in their natural beauty. She loved antique shopping, often discovering treasures that held stories of the past, and she especially cherished time spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her devoted daughter, Michelle Flodstrom (husband Lars Flodstrom); her beloved son, Terry Johnson Jr. (wife Patty Johnson); her loving mother, Lynda Ross; and her father, Billy Waters (wife Joyce Waters). Martha was a proud grandmother to Lars Flodstrom Jr., Shelby Lopez, and Amber Dailey, and a cherished great-grandmother to Emery Lopez, Aiden Lopez, Liam Lopez, and Jacob Dailey.

She is also survived by her brothers, John Ross Jr. and Michael Ross; and her sisters, Kim Jones and Carla Sloan. She was preceded in death by her stepfather, John Ross Sr.

Pallbearers honoring Martha's life will be John Ross Jr., Michael Ross, Gregg Woodall, Scottie Woodall, Lars Flodstrom, and James Dailey.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Owen Funeral Home, with the funeral service to follow at 1:00 PM in the chapel. Martha will be laid to rest at Sunset Memory Gardens.

Her legacy of love, compassion, and strength will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
