

Mary Lou is preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Edna Reid; Brothers, Bob Reid, Rev. Fred Reid, Jr., Louis Reid and Low Perry (Stub) Reid and sisters, Helen Tate, Genette Palmer and Lola Bell (Sally) Jones and Son-in-Law Scott Campbell. She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Donnie Hyatt Sr., children, Valeen Campbell, Donnie (Helen) Hyatt Jr.; grandchildren, Cara Kimpel (William), Brandi Ewing (Chad), Brandon Campbell (Marissa), Brett Hyatt, Dustin Campbell (Kayla), Nathan Campbell (Chelsea); great grandchildren, Aubrey Bennett (Zach), Kevin Pinion, Shane Kimpel, Breanna Campbell, Kaylee Bell, Ethan Kimpel, Brynlee Campbell, Harlee Bell, Emma Campbell and Brystol Campbell; great-great grandchildren, Lolaus; brothers, Norbert Reid, Loye (Peggy) Reid, Rev. Farris (JoAnn) Reid; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Mary Lou was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She was a godly woman, who loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was the foundation of the family, by providing unwavering love, support and stability. The greatest joy was her family, and she devoted her entire life to nurturing her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed nightly coffee/sweets with her loving husband, weekend trips with her sisters to the mountains, going shopping with her daughter, daily conversations with her son, and working in her yard and flower gardens. She took pride in keeping her home immaculate. She loved dressing up and prided herself on always looking her best.
A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Monday, July 6, 2026 in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Reid and Rev. Farris Reid officiating. The interment will follow at Rolling Hills Cemetery with Brandon Campbell, Dustin Campbell, Nathan Campbell, William Kimpel, Shane Kimpel and Chad Ewing serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 5, 2026 from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm.
