Missy was born on August 14, 1964, to Lee and Doris Bagley.
Missy is survived by her brothers Derek (Sheila) Bagley and Kevin (Tammy) Bagley; her nephews, Maverek and Austin ‘Tex’ Bagley; her aunt Gail Pruitt, uncle Kenneth (Linda) Dobbs; and her Host Home family Pam and Danny Morris and Francis Tidwell. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Missy entered the world with a set of challenges that would shape, but not define, her life. She demonstrated an extraordinary resilience, facing life with determination and enthusiasm that was truly inspiring.
Missy was a very socially engaging person. She enjoyed trips to the nail and hair salons, shopping and to her favorite restaurants - IHop and Waffle House. She was a regular at these local establishments and was well known and loved by many of the employees.
Missy lived in a wonderful host home for the last 16 years where her host family was a source of endless love, support and security. She was proud of her beautifully decorated room where she enjoyed listening to music and watching Hallmark movies.
Missy shared a special bond with her family. To Missy, family was everything and she looked forward to spending time with them during her visits ‘home’. Her family, in turn, saw her not as someone with special needs, but as a cherished member who brought a unique and irreplaceable light into their lives.
A memorial service will be held at Owen Funeral Home on December 30, 2024 at 1:00 PM, followed by interment at Green Lawn Memorial Gardens in Roswell, GA.
