Michael Edward DeVore

Mike was born on January 20, 1955 in Atlanta, GA, son of Byron Truitt DeVore and Marie Cornwell DeVore.

Mike was a machinist for over thirty-five years, ending his career with M&M Machine, Inc. in Marietta, GA. In his spare time he enjoyed watching his beloved sports teams, including the Braves, Falcons, Thrashers and Georgia Tech. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved to spend time in the woods deer hunting. His family and friends were the light of his world.

Mike is preceded in death by his father, Byron Truitt DeVore; sister, Loriann DeVore Carr; grandparents.

He is survived by his mother, Marie Cornwell DeVore; son, Charles Price; brother, Lee DeVore; sister, Amy (Todd) Putman; nephews, Joshua (Gina) Putman, Evan Carr, Nicholas (Mary Grace) Carr and Dave Carr.

A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at two o'clock in the afternoon on Tuesday, the 4th of January, 2022 in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Blackstock officiating.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family for one hour prior to service time and immediately following.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Mike's honor to a charity of your choice.
