

Mrs. Cochran was born December 17, 1922 in Habersham County, the daughter of the late Marvin and Evelyn Kinney, was formerly employed at EZ Mills and retired from First Brand. She was a faithful dedicated member of Cassville Baptist Church for over 50 years. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother and always had a close relationship with her brothers and sisters. She was known for her positive outlook on life, her encouragement and willingness to help and her love for family and friends. She never complained. When asked how she was feeling, she always said, “fine.” Now she really is “fine” and well at last, in the hands of her Heavenly Father. She will always be missed, always loved, always remembered.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Walter Cochran to whom she was married for 36 years, her great grandson, Chris Thompson, her stepson, Bill Cochran, her step son-in-law, Earl Hale, her step grandsons Jimmy and Terry Hale, her brothers, Hugh and Raymond Kinney and her sisters, Pauline Kinney, Irene Hubbard and Beryl Whitener.
Surviving are her children and spouses, Doug and Janice Cochran of Cartersville, Dennis and Judy Cochran of Calhoun, JoAnn and Ronnie Nix, Terri and Ken Frasier, step daughter Carolyn Hale, all of Cartersville, grandchildren; Kelli and Tim Thompson, Kathi and Lloyd Scheff, Kent and Julie Cochran, Dennis,Jr and Cindy Cochran, Kim and John King, Kevin and Leslie Nix, Staci & Scott Mcintosh, Jill and Dave Thoman, Brad, Joanna and Kensey Frasier, 5 step grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren and brothers, Frank and Harvey Kinney of Clarksville and Ernest Kinney of Mt. Airy.
Funeral services will be held Monday, October 25, 2010 at 3:00 P.M. at Cassville Baptist Church with the Rev Mark Somers officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers include grandsons and great grandsons, Kent and Dennis Cochran, Jr., Kevin Nix, Brad Frasier, Matt and Zach Thompson and Blake Scheff.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday, October 24, 2010 from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M.
