Mildred Laureen Lanier

Mrs. Lanier was born September 16, 1919 in Sargent, Georgia, daughter of the late Perry Shadix and Lonie Ragsdale Shadix. She was a retired textile worker and was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tommie Lou Lanier; 4 brothers; 2 sisters; 1 great-grandson, Eddie Lanier and 1 son, Robert Lanier.

Survivors include a daughter, Sandra Kendrick of Acworth; 2 sons, Tommy Lanier and wife Nancy of Acworth, Ronnie Lanier and wife Linda of Powder Springs; 9 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday afternoon February 19th at 2:00 PM in the Owen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Keith Willard officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Owen Funeral Home.

Pallbearers include Sean Kendrick, Chad Slayton, Ricky Lanier, Ken Lanier, Michael Lanier and Jimmy Lanier.
