Myrtice Marie Knight

Myrtice Marie Daniel Knight, age 89, formerly of Cartersville, Georgia and Daytona Beach Shores, Florida, passed away on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at The Fountains in Cartersville. Mrs. Knight was born on July 27, 1932, the daughter of the late Russell and Lida Bell Daniel.

She worked as an administrative assistant for the Lockheed Corporation in Marietta and Concord Mills in Cartersville and retired as office manager for the Cartersville Spinning Company, a division of World Carpets. Mrs. Knight was a long-time member of Rowland Springs Baptist Church.

Along with her parents, Mrs. Knight is preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Charles Knight; sister, Juanita Robinson; brothers, Malcom Daniel, Harry Daniel, Billy Daniel, and Talmadge Daniel; niece, Melanie Proctor.

She is survived by her daughter, Angela (Richard) McKee; son, Timothy (Beverly) Knight; grandchildren, Matthew (Emily) Knight, Christopher (Kelsey) Knight and Sarah Tonsmeire; great-grandchildren, Hudson Knight, Brooks Knight and Harvey Knight; sister, Shelvia Proctor and many loving extended family members and friends.

The family is grateful to Dr. David Kim and the Transitions Hospice Team, The Fite Living Centre staff, The Fountains in Cartersville staff, and Myrtice’s dedicated sitters for their attentive care.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, February 13, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. at Rowland Springs Baptist Church with The Reverend Joe Ringwalt officiating. Friends are cordially invited for visitation one hour prior to the service. Mrs. Knight will be interred at Georgia National Cemetery on Wednesday, March 2nd at 11:00 a.m.
