

Mrs. Myrtle Jewell Turner Evans, 88, passed away Wednesday, November 15, 2017, surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Evans was born in Dallas, GA to the late Mr. John Young Turner and Mrs. Tessie Cochran Turner January 13, 1929.
Mrs. Evans loved playing piano, singing, and quilting but most of all, she loved her family. Mrs. Evans was a devout Christian and of the Baptist faith, having read the Bible seven times.
Mrs. Evans is preceded in death by her parents, Mr. John Young Turner and Mrs. Tessie Cochran Turner, husband, Mr. Andrew Clifford Evans, sisters: Irene Bell, Vera Roberson, Evelyn Biddy and Dorothy Ann Ratteree, brothers; J.L. Turner, Hubert Turner and Elbert Turner.
Mrs. Evans is survived by her sons; Neal (Janie) Evans, Ricky (Maggie) Evans and Andy (Donna) Evans, grandchildren; Bryan (Donna) Evans, Donna (Joe) Bazelmans, Cliff (Helen) Evans, Josh (Brittany) Evans, Ricky Joe Evans, Beverly Evans (Special Granddaughter), Billy (Mary) Evans, Jason (Shelly) Evans, Toby (Jessica) Evans, Mathew Evans, Andrea (Matt) Yoder and Presley Evans, brother, Fred (Lucille) Turner and sister, Mildred Womack. 23 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Evans will be held Saturday, November 18, 2017 at eleven o'clock in the morning in the Owen Funeral Home Chapel. Serving as pall bearers will be: Bryan Evans, Cliff Evans, Josh Evans, Ricky Joe Evans, Billy Adam Evans, Jason Evans, Toby Evans and Mathew Evans. Burial will follow the services in the Rowland Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation for Mrs. Evans will be held at Owen Funeral Home Friday, November 17, 2017 from four o'clock in the afternoon until seven.
