Norman Frederic “Fred” Hollingsworth passed away on February 22, 2025 at the age of 83, in his home of Cartersville, GA. His battle with serious medical issues during the last year demonstrated his courage in facing life challenges with a smile and a sense that humor.
Fred was born and raised in San Jose, California and served in the Navy for 4 years (1959-1964). After his honorable service, he found his career calling as an engineer, working diligently for Lucent Technologies for 31 years (1968-1999). He spent his retirement in his home in White, Georgia pursuing his love of gardening and spending precious time with family.
Fred is survived by his beautiful wife, Sharon. They were married for 57 years. He was a proud father of three sons: Brian, Eric and Kevin.
