

Upon graduation from Missouri-Rolla he moved to Akron, Ohio and went to work for Goodyear. He remained with Goodyear throughout his work history and retired in 1997. While in Akron, Buck meet the love of his life and was married to Barbara Kay Bohn on April 16, 1966. Buck and Barbara would eventually make their way to Rockmart, Georgia in 1968, where they worked and raised their family. The couple eventually moved to Cartersville.
Buck enjoyed golfing in his younger years but his passion became boating. Most weekends, summer or winter you would find him at the lake on his Boat, the ‘B & B too’. Many did know of his amazing creative side – Buck did amazing carpentry – making desks, head boards, or anything he was asked. He also had a talent for stain glass art. Still to today 4 windows he made are in the original St. Bernadette’s Catholic Church in Cedartown, Ga.
Buck was an active member St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Cartersville. Over the years he was also involved with the Lion’s Club and Knights of Columbus.
Buck is preceded in death by his parents, Melba and Albert and his sister, Carol Maniscalco – all of St. Louis, Missouri.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 plus years, Barbara of Cartersville, daughter Cindy (Jan) Caughman-de Waart of Cartersville, daughter Cheryl (Brad) Smith of Fort Lauderdale, Florida and son Wes (Gemma) of Perry, Ga. Buck loved to spend time with any of his 6 grandchildren, whom he doted on (Allie, Erin, Noah, Avery, Zachery, and Donavan).
There will be a celebration of life ceremony on Friday, Oct. 13 at 11amat St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Cartersville. He will later be interred at Sunset Memory Gardens in Cartersville.
