Pamela "GP" Hamilton Barge

Pamela was born on July 17, 1947 to Donald Clifford Hamilton and LaVerne Georgia Dowle in Coronado, California. She spent her life as a dedicated mother, wife, grandmother, aunt, friend, confidant, and successful licensed professional counselor with a thriving practice for 11 years. In her retirement, she found delight in all the glories of nature, trees, and gardening with her loving husband, Gerald. Pamela was a friend to all and brought joy and light to all those who had the honor to be near her.

Pamela is preceded in death by her daughter; Samantha Osborne; both parents; and her favorite aunt and uncle, Joan and Russ Ide. She is survived by her husband Gerald Murray Barge; sister, Valerie Hamilton Hogg (husband William); son, Ryan Shenton Osborne (wife Melanie); stepdaughters, Tammy Susan Barge, Tracy Renee Sheffield, Terri Lynne Schlageter (husband David); grandchildren, Seth, Ethan, Andrew, Alexander, Abigail, Robbie, Janna, Lauren, and Hayden; 6 great-grandchildren; niece, Dana Carolyn Waters; nephews, Franklin Chadwick Waters and Donald Colby Waters, and loyal Shih Tzu, Susie.

The family will receive friends at Owen Funeral Home on Sunday, September 3, 2023 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital in memory and in honor of her daughter, Samantha.
