Patricia Ann Yandow

Patricia Ann Gull Yandow—lovingly known as Patricia, Patti, or Grandma Pat—passed away peacefully on September 6, 2026, in Cartersville, Georgia. She was born March 8, 1946, in Tooele, Utah, a beloved daughter of Heavenly Parents, as well as her earthly parents, Lora Maria Breshner Gull and Rawlin Charles Gull. Pat was a devoted wife and eternal companion to David Arthur Yandow Jr., to whom she was sealed for time and all eternity in the Bountiful Utah Temple.

Family was her greatest joy in life, and nothing brought her more happiness than being surrounded by those she loved so deeply. As a cherished stepmother to three sons-David Yandow III (Rebecca), Chris Yandow (Kim), and Daniel Yandow (Elizabeth) - she rejoiced in her growing family, which includes 28 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren (and counting into eternity), as well as many nieces and nephews who adored her. Pat is survived by her beloved husband, David; her stepsons and their families; and her siblings, Cordale Gull (Carolyn), Duane Gull (Joyce - deceased), Karen Johnson (Ed), Craig Gull (Barbara), Susan Parkinson - deceased (Lyle - deceased), and Kathy Clark (Brad).

Known for her gentle heart and warm smile, Pat possessed a rare ability to make everyone around her feel seen, valued, and loved. Her compassion and genuine interest in others spoke volumes about her character—to know her was to feel truly cared for. Her generous, unconditional love and the memories she created with family and friends will be treasured forever. She loved traveling and spending quality time with family, as well as attending music concerts and performances with David. Their adventures took them on cruises, to Branson, to Las Vegas, and to her favorite destination, Nashville. A particular highlight over the years was visiting the Grand Ole Opry to watch the Little General Cloggers perform. Pat and David loved cheering on her son Daniel and her grandson Shane, who even performed on the Opry stage as the dance partner of his future wife, Stephanie. After moving from the West to Georgia in 2023, she fell in love with the lush green forests, frequently admiring the scenery and remarking, “I just love it here—so beautiful and green everywhere.”

Pat is a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where church membership and worship in the Spirit World continue even now after her death. She also dedicated herself to a life of meaningful service through her work in nursing, as a Deputy Sheriff in Alameda, California, and ultimately with the Tooele City Police Department, from which she retired. Through every chapter of her life, she demonstrated steady strength, compassion, and dedication.

Our family expresses heartfelt gratitude to Lacy and the staff at Brookside Cartersville Assisted Living, as well as Breanna and the Tapestry Hospice team, for the exceptional, loving care they provided Pat in her final days.

Visitation at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 17, followed by memorial services after 7 p.m., will be held at Owen Funeral Home in Cartersville, Georgia. Interment will be on Friday, September 18, at 11:00 a.m. at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia.
