Peggy A. Nix

Peggy is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Lee Nix, brothers, Guy McMillan and Dean McMillan She is survived by her sons, Robert Nix (Kevin McLaughlin), Anthony Nix, Travis Nix, Brian Nix (Tara); grandchildren, Audrey Lihd (Jacob), Kenneth Nix, Mikayla Nix, Adam Nix, Carter Nix, AJ Nix; great-granddaughter, Ava Lihd; niece, Lisa McMillan Strain (Greg) and several beloved family members.

Peggy was a cafeteria worker at White Elementary for 28 years. She was a devoted member of Oakland Heights Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school. She was also a member of The Red Hat Society.

A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Thursday, December 23, 2021 in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home with Rev. Joe Nix and Rev. James DeKoker officiating. The interment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens with Kenneth Nix, Adam Nix, Carter Nix, AJ Nix Greg Strain and Devan Crabtree servicing as pallbearers; Audrey Lihn and Mikayla serving as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
