

Phillip Anthony Cox age 62 of Cartersville Georgia, returned to his Heavenly Father Wednesday, December 29, 2021. He was born in Acworth, Georgia on October 14, 1959 to Marie White Cox and Dewey Ray Cox.
Phillip is survived by his wife, Dianne Gieger Cox, parents Marie White Cox and Dewey Ray Cox of Kingston, Georgia. Stepdaughter, Brittany (Nathan) McCorkle and their three daughters, (Alabama), who so fondly called him PopPop. He was preceded in death by his Grandparents Grace Dupree White and Claude White of Acworth. Beatrice Day Cox and Norman Cox of Acworth.
He was of the Baptist Faith and was a member of Meadow Grove Baptist Church.
He was an Avid Tennis Player, Runner (ran the Peachtree for many years along with two Marathons), played on a Church Softball Team and local Softball Teams. His hobby was restoring Ford Trucks, especially 1979 Models. He was working on his third one.
He had a very outgoing personality, never met a stranger and could talk shop with the best of them, especially if they were talking about Ford Trucks. He was always lending a helping hand to anyone who needed it. He had many friends and was loved by all.
He Loved his Country. He left a long legacy of carpentry teaching.
Although he was employed by Integrity Restoration and Remodeling at the time of his death, he was a Licensed Builder, A True Craftsman for many years, a Profession he was very proud of.
He had several Scrapbooks of pictures of houses he was involved in building from start to finish.
He was a Son and Husband whom his Dad and I and Dianne were very proud of.
He will be greatly missed every minute of everyday by Family and Friends, Until We Meet Again!!!
