

Mr. Reginald "Reggie" Cecil Fossett, 66, of Plainville, GA passed away on Monday, August 24, 2020. Mr. Fossett was born in Sand Mountain, AL to the late Mr. Kenneth Grimes and Mrs. Maxine Grimes on June 19, 1954.
Reggie was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He will be remembered by his brothers and sister as a true Alabama fan "Roll Tide". He was a proud veteran who served in the United States Army for over 12 years. Reggie was a fun loving outdoorsman who loved his boat, his garden, camping and most of all being Paw Paw and Grand Dad to his 17 grandchildren. Reggie's pranks and fun loving spirit will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Reggie is preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his loving wife, Frances Blalock, children; Steven (Kandice) Fossett, Shanna (Stewart) Scruggs, Tracey (Eric) Bowling, and Tammy (Rodney) Franklin, and Stephen (Joanna) Watson, siblings; Sheila (Mike) Gibson, James (Debbie) Fossett, George (Donna) Fossett, and Chris (Mindy) Smith. Seventeen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren also survive to cherish Reggie's memory.
A Celebration of Reggie's life will be conducted in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home on Saturday, August 29, 2020 at two o'clock in the afternoon with the Revs. Zachary Feagin and Ronnie Hudson officiating. Military honors will be rendered. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be: Cleveland Langley, Michael Parker, Chuck Mercado, Bussie Blalock, Wendell Parker, Larry Jennings, D.J. Franklin, Travis Franklin, Eric Bowling, and Ryan Howell. Social distancing is requested but everyone is welcome.
The family will receive friends at Owen Funeral Home on Saturday, August 29, 2020 from twelve o'clock noon until the service hour.
