

Throughout his life, Reuben often enjoyed tending to his gardens, spending time at the beach and most of all, making memories with his family. He was a very loving and caring man who loved being a father, grandfather and friend. He was married to the love of his life, Betty Carroll for sixty years before her passing in 2012. Before retiring, Reuben worked at Quality parts for 25 years. Shortly after retirement, he opened his own business, Cartersville Automotive Machine Shop.
Reuben was known by many and will truly be missed by all who knew him.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Betty McCoy Carroll; daughter, Sherry Carroll Cantrell; brothers, Floyd Carroll, Claude Carroll, Horace Carroll, Stan Carroll, and Bob Carroll; sisters, Jean Hardin, Lois Littlefield and Sarah Owens.
He is survived by his daughter, Lynn (Jim) Buckley; son-in-law, Eli Cantrell; grandchildren, Candace (Travis) Popham, Chase Cantrell, Lisa Sizemore, and Cara (Travis) Carder; several great-grandchildren and many extended family members and friends to cherish his memory.
A graveside service to honor Mr. Reuben E. Carroll will be held on February 9, 2022 at 3:30pm at Sunset Memory Gardens, Cartersville, Georgia, with Tony Costa officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Terry Billings, Tim Hughes, Mark Bauer, Tony Costa, Tony Lewis, and Chase Cantrell. Friends are cordially invited for visitation from 1:00pm to 3:00pm at Owen Funeral Home.
