Richard Daniel McBrayer

Richard Daniel McBrayer, age 87, of Cartersville, Georgia, passed away peacefully on April 24, 2025. He was born on January 9, 1938, in Atlanta, Georgia, to the late Arthur Leon McBrayer and Eva Morgan McBrayer.

Richard is survived by his loving wife, Kathryn Johnson McBrayer; his daughters, Karen Windsor (Robert) and Connie Jenkins (Shawn); and his cherished grandchildren, Kristen Windsor Wells (Brian) and Sarah Beth Jenkins Brock (Matthew) and great-grandchildren Briggs, Beck and Barnes Wells and Ava Ruth Brock, sister, Leila Hagar, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Marilyn Horton.

A man who found great joy in the simple pleasures of life, Richard loved spending time fishing, traveling, reading and most of all, being with his family.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at Sunset Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends earlier that day from 12:00 PM until 1:30 PM.

Richard will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
