Robert Ledford

Mr. Ledford was born September 11, 1927 in Bartow County, a son of the late Charles Everett and Melody Mordecci Ledford.

Mr. Ledford was a simple and wise man who loved the outdoors and being in nature. He was an excellent gardener and farmer with a green thumb to grow anything. He was an active member of Peeple’s Valley Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lenora Salmon. Survivors include his brother, Alvin Ledford of Cartersville, GA; a niece, Geanie Ledford of Dallas, TX; a great niece, Summer Ledford of Florida; 2 great nephews Chandler Gauntt and Vann Michael Vaughan both of Dallas, TX.

Funeral Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 23, 2012 from the Chapel of Owen Funeral Home, Cartersville, GA with the Rev. Ralph Shook, Rev. David Baker and Rev. Darrell Bailey officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens.

Serving as pallbearers will be Claude Miller, Eddie Cochran, Vann Michael Vaughan, Hal Siniard, Fred King and Gene Jenkins.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Monday, October 22, 2012.
